| And if it is, not by much. See my reference post below. They seem pretty close on inital spool up. And you alway have to remember a compressor map is really slightly less than 1/2 the equation. Turbine map and bearing type also come into play. I think Shawn is right where he said if he could do it again, he would go with gt28rs with .64 A/R. While the difference in price is large between the GT28RS and the GT28R, in the over all scheme of a full build up the price diffence is not that large when weighed against the ultimate perfromance difference. But for a simple bolt on type upgrade, the GT28R is probably the better bargin (like the sport 500). While the Sport 500 is a great bank for the buck, and early tests show the GT28R could also bring a similar bang for the buck, I think the "anything other than Sport 500 is silly for the street" is an old and outdated way of thinking. Again, maybe time will tell. Untill then, all we can do is guess and discuss.
